A stunning piece of Poplar! This was a black streak that was going through a thick piece of Poplar wood. I was excited to work with it. The nature of the black streaks in Poplar can often have some small stress fractures running through it, which is what I filled with Galactic stone inlay on the back side of this here flute.
Poplar flute body with black Limba end caps/sound blocks and Zircote accent bands.
The stone inlay in the flute body and on the sound block is Galactic stone inlay which consists of Turquoise and black Pumice stone.
